app-ads.txt Support

About app-ads.txt

Authorized Sellers for Apps, or app-ads.txt, is an IAB Tech Lab initiative that helps ensure your app ad inventory is only sold through channels you've identified as authorized.

Creating an app-ads.txt file gives you more control over who's allowed to sell ads on your app and helps prevent counterfeit inventory from being presented to advertisers.

The app-ads.txt files are publicly available and crawlable by exchanges, supply-side platforms (SSP), and other buyers and third-party vendors.

Authorized Sellers for Apps (app-ads.txt) is an extension to the Authorized Digital Sellers (ads.txt) standard, designed initially for protecting web ad inventory. It extends compatibility to support ads shown in mobile apps.

To prevent a significant loss in ad revenue, you'll need to implement an app-ads.txt file.

Developer Website

A developer website lets users learn more about your apps and other content. It’s also how the app-ads.txt standard establishes who owns an app.

Your developer website must be linked to your store listings in Google Play or the App Store to establish your app’s ownership.

If you don’t currently have a website for your app development business, you’ll need to establish one before participating in app-ads.txt. Various free and paid web hosting options are available.

Once established, update your app’s listing in the app stores to include your developer website in the developer contact URL. You may optionally publish any relevant marketing and support information for your app on that website.
